There will be a change with the December Village of Ilion water bills for charges associated with late fees. At the September 12, 2012 Village Board meeting the board voted to support a change to the water codes to include the following: Each bill for quarterly consumption not paid within 30 days of the billing date will incur a late fee of $50.00 added to the balance of the existing bill. Each bill for water service repairs not paid within 30 days of the billing date will incur a $50.00 late fee added to the balance of the existing bill. After 30 days of the billing of either the quarterly bill or the water service repair bill, the Water Dept. will post the property with a five(5) day shut-off notice if the bill remains unpaid. The water service is subject to shut-off any time after the five (5) day period. Payment plans will no longer be implemented. Any current plans will be honored until satisfied.
