Village of Ilion offices will be closed on Labor Day September 1, 2014.
Mayor Leonard, along with several members of the Village Board, recently met with NYS Department of Transportation (DOT) officials concerning the progress on the replacement of the bridge over Steele Creek on the West Main Street in the Village. According to DOT, the bridge is slated for full rebuilding at State expense in 2015-16. The project is funded through NYS Senate New York Works projects. Residents will be updated as the project progresses.

To all Village of Ilion residents;
It has been brought to the Village's attention that during recent windy weather conditions we have been experiencing, that recyclable materials are being blown around various neighborhoods when placed out for collection.
Please remain aware that recyclables are NOT to be placed in plastic bags due to having to remain loose when placed in the collection vehicle.
Recyclables also need to be placed in a container WITH A LID when placed to the curb on your collection night.
Thank you for your cooperation with this issue in keeping Ilion as clean as possible.
Terry A. Leonard
